2024 Physician Champion honoree

Queen of the Valley Foundation is proud to honor Nicholas Lopez, M.D., as the 2024 Philanthropy Physician Champion Award recipient. As the medical director of the emergency department and a member of the Foundation Board, Dr. Lopez demonstrates pivotal leadership and influence in support of Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center, both on and off the hospital grounds. 

A passionate ambassador, Dr. Lopez has been an instrumental partner in advancing fundraising efforts and implementing significant emergency department projects, including our recently opened rapid care unit. His contributions span several years of dedicated work, underscoring his commitment to the hospital’s mission and its community.

Always eager to lend his natural talent as a speaker and leader, Dr. Lopez is featured in all impact reporting videos for donors, imbuing messages of gratitude and donor impact with signature warmth and charm.

Dr. Lopez has agreed to co-chair the new Physician Leadership Council, further demonstrating his dedication to elevating philanthropy at the Queen. His role as co-chair will undoubtedly inspire other physicians to engage with the Foundation and  contribute to its vital work.
