Emergency Department Renovation Kickoff and Celebrating 50 Years of Napa Valley Emergency Medical Group

Thank you to the community leaders, physicians and donors who joined us to celebrate the upcoming renovations at the hospital’s emergency department and to honor Napa Valley Emergency Medical Group (NVEMG) physicians’ 50th anniversary of providing care to the community.

The renovations, which began on June 23, are expected to be completed in August 2026 and include the following enhancements to ensure the comfort of our caregivers and patients alike:

• Refurbished patient rooms, public spaces and nursing stations.
• Upgrades to lighting, floors, countertops, paint, and furniture.

Queen of the Valley Medical Center’s level III trauma center and emergency department will remain open 24/7/365 throughout the renovations to care for the approximately 30,000 community members who visit the unit each year.

The changes will create a more comfortable environment for caregivers and patients and will improve accessibility for seniors.
